USA, R.I.P.

At least now we have the official moron count in the United States: 62,443,218.

That is the number of Americans with insufficient intelligence to understand that when the greatest threat facing the United States -- indeed, the world -- is Islamic jihad, it is dangerous to elect to the most powerful position on Earth a man who promises, "I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction."

We now know that more than 62 million Americans are too ignorant of history to know that Socialism -- "spreading the wealth" -- has never worked anywhere, anytime. Ever, ever, ever. When people's earnings and savings are confiscated and redistributed, they simply stop earning and saving. History consistently vindicates Adam Smith and proves Karl Marx dead wrong.

Clearly, more than 62 million Americans feel incompetent to manage their own lives and believe they are better off entrusting themselves to the government's dictates. (Although, considering they were dumb enough to vote for Obama, maybe that should count as self-awareness.) They want the government to continue controlling their bank accounts and to make all decisions about their health care: when they may go to a doctor, which doctor they may see, and for which conditions they may be treated. Providing the operational definition of "mental impairment," they voted to have health care managed by the same people who run the post office and the TSA.

More than 62 million Americans seem unable to grasp the importance of having a president who bleeds red, white, and blue. Obama is not one of us. His father was an African student in this country long enough to impregnate and abandon an American teenager -- Obama's mother, who lived her entire life hostile to society's norms. Having grown up in Indonesia and Hawaii, it's no wonder that mainland Americans are so foreign to Obama that he caricatures us as "bitter" folks who "cling to guns and religion."

One thing he hasn't called us is "stupid." After yesterday, that fits. To be precise, it fits 62, 443, 218 of us.
